Week Three
I think that the Hugh Laurie video was about the British think that were on repeat and were doing the same thing over and over, with maybe a few things that are different. Like when it changes from saying America to states. In the end it seems like that they think that were not all there and that we need a good punch in the face. I think that the British people all agree in a way because of how they were laughing during the whole thing.

ReplyDeleteI've had students who were offended by this. They felt it was inaccurate and insulting to depict us this way. I find it interesting that things about ourselves that we take for granted are the basis for satire in other countries. I hope we can laugh at ourselves . . . at least just a little.
